DIÁSPORA - EINE ZEITGENÖSSISCHE TRAGÖDIE
DIASPORA thematises the situation of migrants and refugees today, caused for example by neo-colonial exploitation structures in the global South. As a modern interpretation of Euripides’ classic tragedy “The Trojan Women”, DIASPORA strives for a change of perspective – world affairs and conflicts through the eyes of the people on the ground from the perspective of women, refugees, the uninvolved and the innocent

IM WAL
In the “IM WAL” In the Whale workshop, we explore the underwater world and the theme of sustainability together with the children through games, movement and improvisation exercises. The aim is to introduce the children to contemporary dance in a playful way and to address the issue of plastic in the sea through art. Short movement sequences from the dance piece IM WAL are explained and fun improvisations are tried out.

OZEAN:INNEN:
DIE IN MIR WOHNEN
OCEANIC: those who live inside me. What new narratives which challenge internal and external systems, does water bring us? Water, in its many forms and qualities, will serve as a common thread as we explore all those oceans that live within us. New poetic narratives and movements will guide us on our quest to find our own dance and voice.

ECHOES OF THE DEEP
In this multimedia installation, players explore
a hopeful and dystopian near future of the Baltic Sea through a VR game that contrasts ghost nets dead zones and pollution with regenerative actions that restore marine life. Through digital prints, videos and a participatory format, the installation invites audiences to reflect on their often invisible impact on this marine ecosystem.
